Terms of Service
Last Updated: February 4, 2026
Welcome to GitLink ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, services, and tools (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account or using GitLink, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Services.
2. Description of Service
GitLink provides a URL shortening service that allows users to shorten long URLs ("Links"). Additionally, GitLink offers a monetization program where publishers can earn revenue based on traffic driven to these shortened links through intermediate advertising pages.
3. User Accounts
- Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use our monetization features.
- Security: You notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your password.
4. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You agree not to use GitLink to shorten links to, or otherwise promote, content that:
- Contains viruses, malware, trojans, worms, or any other malicious software.
- Is illegal, unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or invasive of privacy.
- Promotes phishing, scamming, or fraudulent activities.
- Infringes on any intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats of violence.
- Redirects to "looping" sites or sites that prevent the user from navigating away.
We reserve the right to remove any Link and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy without prior notice.
5. Monetization and Payments
- Earnings: Revenue is calculated based on valid, unique views and clicks on the intermediate ad pages. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a "valid" view. Artificial traffic (bots, scripts, click farms) will not be counted and may lead to account termination.
- Rates: CPM (Cost Per Mille) rates are dynamic and subject to change based on advertiser demand, traffic quality, and geographic location.
- Withdrawals: Publishers may request a withdrawal once their account balance reaches the minimum threshold ($20.00). Payments are processed via the method selected in your dashboard (e.g., Payoneer, USDT).
- Taxes: You are solely responsible for any applicable taxes on your earnings.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of GitLink and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If your account is terminated due to a violation of these Terms (e.g., fraud), you forfeit any unpaid earnings.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall GitLink, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
9. Disclaimer
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
